Capacity building in Poland 2004-2006: IPPC and EIA
In 2004 the DCMR started the second project in Poland, financed by the European Commission. The project is one of the final environmental projects within the Phare Twinning project series in Poland.
Focus
In this project the existing Polish expertise on IPPC will be reinforced by an extensive training programme at all levels, to improve the implementation in the regions. The main training will be focused on expertise exchange and a train-the-trainer programme.
Three mid-Poland regions
A communication policy and pilot activities on communication will be developed for the three mid-Poland regions: Mazowieckie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie and Wielkopolskie. The counterparts are: the Polish Ministry of Environment, the regional and local authorities in Poland and the central and regional inspectorates.
This project is a co-operation with the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Sw), the Eindhoven Regional Environmental Protection Agency and InfoMil (NL)
