Assistance
We give assistance to the Czech Republic and Poland on implementation of integrated permit directives by means of extensive training programmes on all administration levels. In the Czech Republic the new EU directives LCP and VOC have been taken up in the existing IPPC procedures. In Poland assistance is given to improve the information exchange between industry and environmental authorities to improve the quality of environmental policy and the success of the implementation of this policy. This is called “Environmental Platforms”.
Russian Federation
EU approximation projects are executed in the Russian Federation. These projects are aimed at instititutional strengthening in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast and also on spatial plan developments in these regions. We give advise in integrated inspection and enforcement procedures in line with European approaches.
Furthermore, we have set up an environmental information and education centre in Russia and in the Czech Republic.
