Particulate matter (PM10) is an umbrella term for airborne particles droplets which are breathed in. Concentrations of PM10 are affected by traffic density. The morning rush hour is usually clearly visible on the graph while at night concentrations are lower. The limit value is 40 micrograms per cubic metre of air averaged over a whole year. Concentrations are higher during the rush hour and generally lower at night.
